1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Careera AI ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2 Description of Service

Careera AI is a career copilot that provides resume analysis, resume tailoring, cover letter generation, job match analysis, skill gap analysis, learning paths, and application tracking. These services are powered by artificial intelligence and are provided on a token-based, pay-as-you-go pricing model.

3 Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Platform.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not create multiple accounts to abuse free token bonuses.

4 Token System & Payments

Tokens are digital credits used to access AI features on the Platform.
New accounts receive 300 free tokens upon registration.
Additional tokens can be purchased through our token packages via Flutterwave.
All purchases are final. Tokens are non-refundable once purchased.
Token costs per feature are displayed on the Platform and may be updated from time to time.
We reserve the right to modify token pricing with reasonable notice.

5 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
Upload malicious files or content designed to exploit the system
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms
Use automated scripts or bots to access the Platform
Share, resell, or redistribute AI-generated outputs as a competing service
Upload resumes or content containing false or fraudulent information
Attempt to circumvent token requirements or payment systems

6 AI-Generated Content

All AI-generated content (tailored resumes, cover letters, analyses) is provided as suggestions and guidance.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in job applications.
Careera AI does not guarantee that AI-generated content will result in job interviews or employment.
AI outputs may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. Always verify facts, dates, and claims.
You retain ownership of your original resume content. AI-modified versions are provided for your personal use.

7 Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of Careera AI. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Platform without explicit written permission.

You retain all rights to the original content you upload (resumes, personal information). By using the Platform, you grant Careera AI a limited licence to process this content solely for the purpose of providing our services.

8 Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Token deductions only occur upon successful completion of an AI operation.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Careera AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, arising from your use of the Platform.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Careera AI in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Upon account deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Unused tokens are forfeited upon account deletion.

11 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through the appropriate legal channels.
