We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: English Language Teacher Location: Life Camp, Abuja Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary As an English Teacher you will instructstudents in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, focusing on grammar, literature, and composition to improve communication skills.
Key duties include developing lesson plans, grading assignments, tracking student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment. They also collaborate with staff and communicate with parents.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Instruction: Teach grammar, vocabulary, literature, and composition to students, ranging from elementary to high school levels.
Lesson Planning: Create and execute comprehensive lesson plans tailored to various learning styles and age groups.
Assessment: Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and essays, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
Classroom Management: Maintain an engaging, orderly, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Student Support: Identify learning gaps and provide additional support or individualized plans to help students meet learning goals. Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with other educators to improve curriculum, attend meetings, and keep parents informed about student progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications Education: A bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field, often with a state teaching license.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for Literature: Ability to inspire students to appreciate literature and develop critical thinking.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs and technological advancements in education.
Common Qualifications: Previous experience as an English teacher or in a relevant educational role. Proficiency in, or deep knowledge of, the English language. Patience and strong interpersonal skills.
