• Co within Nigeria by providing professional accounting and audit services to clients across various sectors. The role requires practical experience within the Nigerian accounting and audit environment, including financial reporting, tax compliance, audit support, and client service delivery. The successful candidate will also contribute to the firm’s business development and operational growth initiatives while maintaining professional standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Accounting &
• Audit: Preparation of Profit &
• Loss Accounts, Bank Reconciliations, and Balance Sheet Schedules Assisting in audit assignments and audit fieldwork Preparation of Working Papers and Audit Documentation Preparation of Financial Statements in line with applicable accounting standards Preparation of Management Reports and Financial Analysis Bookkeeping and maintenance of accounting records Preparation of Cashflow Forecasts and Budgets Payroll Processing and Credit Control Procedures QuickBooks setup and accounting software support for clients Supporting senior management in delivering audit and accounting engagements Tax &
• Regulatory Compliance: Preparation and filing of Nigerian Tax Returns VAT Returns and statutory compliance filings Assisting with tax investigations and regulatory enquiries Company registration and compliance support services Research &
• Consulting: Assist in preparing Business Plans and Feasibility Reports Conduct business and financial research assignments Support consulting and advisory engagements Assist organisations in improving operational and financial performance Prepare reports and documentation for client engagements Marketing &
• Business Development: Support the promotion of the firm’s services and brand awareness Assist in preparing marketing materials and online content Participate in networking and client relationship activities Engage in business development and client prospecting initiatives Represent AA Matthew &
• Co professionally during client interactions and events Position Requirements Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the Nigerian Audit and Accounting environment Practical knowledge of Nigerian tax and regulatory compliance requirements Experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and audit procedures Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment ICAN qualification or progress towards qualification would be an added advantage Application Closing Date 31st May, 2026.
