Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Backend Developer to join our team, responsible for designing and implementing server-side logic, managing database infrastructure, and ensuring optimal application performance. You will work closely with frontend engineers to create seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities
• Develop Core Functionality: Build, maintain, and test server-side logic, APIs, and web application frameworks.
• Database Management: Design, create, and manage relational or NoSQL database systems.
• Optimize & Secure: Ensure application security (e.g., OWASP principles) and optimize for speed and scalability.
• Collaboration: Work in an Agile environment with frontend developers, product managers, and designers.
• Troubleshooting: Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for code and system architecture.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Languages: Proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Node.js,PHP).
• Frameworks: Experience with frameworks (e.g., NodeJS, NestJS, Laravel).
• Database Knowledge: Strong experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
• API Development: Proven experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• DevOps/Cloud: Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in backend development.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦450,000.00 per month
