Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics and supply chain company operating in Aba, Abia, NG , is looking for experienced and professional Commercial Vehicle Drivers to join their dedicated transport team. This role involves the safe and timely transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to all traffic regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving record, excellent knowledge of road networks within Nigeria, and a commitment to professionalism. You will be responsible for the operation of heavy-duty trucks, ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and cargo is delivered in its original condition.

Key responsibilities include:
Operating commercial vehicles, such as trucks and vans, safely and efficiently. Transporting goods and materials to designated locations according to schedules and routes. Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and identify any mechanical issues. Maintaining accurate logs of delivery times, mileage, and cargo details. Ensuring the security and integrity of the cargo during transit. Adhering strictly to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies. Reporting any accidents, delays, or vehicle malfunctions to dispatch immediately. Assisting with loading and unloading of goods when required. Performing basic vehicle maintenance such as checking fluids, tire pressure, and cleaning the vehicle. Providing excellent customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid Nigerian driver's license with appropriate commercial endorsements (e.g., Class E). Proven experience as a commercial driver, with a clean driving record. Good knowledge of major road networks in Nigeria, particularly within the southern and eastern regions. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong sense of responsibility and reliability. Good physical condition and ability to lift moderate to heavy items. Excellent communication skills. Must be punctual and adhere to strict schedules. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. A valid certificate of roadworthiness for vehicles driven. This role is essential for maintaining our client's operational efficiency and reputation for reliable delivery services within Aba, Abia, NG and surrounding areas.
