Summary
• We are seeking two (2) Pharmacy Technician Interns or Volunteers to support the Pharmacy Department at Saint Camillus Catholic Hospital.
• This role is designed for individuals who are eager to gain practical experience in a high-volume hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Dispensing & Packaging: Assist in the accurate picking, labeling, and packaging of prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Inventory Support: Assist in daily and weekly stock counts, shelf-filling, and monitoring of reorder points to prevent out-of-stock situations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of drug issues and assist in the reconciliation of price lists and stock cards.
• Clinical Support: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dispensary and supporting the pharmacy team in providing pharmaceutical care to patients.
Requirements
• Education: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a recognized School of Health Technology.
• Background: Must have a foundational understanding of pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, and drug storage conditions.
• Traits: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn hospital pharmacy protocols.
• Commitment: Ability to maintain regular attendance and follow the department’s duty roster.
