We are recruiting for one of our clients for the position of Junior DevOps Engineer.
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₦150,000 - ₦200,000 Monthly
Job Summary
The Junior DevOps Engineer will support the development and operations teams by assisting in deployment processes, infrastructure management, and system monitoring. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of DevOps practices and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Support application deployment to cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
• Monitor system performance, logs, and uptime to ensure reliability.
• Manage containers using Docker and support basic orchestration processes.
• Assist in automating infrastructure and operational tasks using scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment and release workflows.
• Ensure proper environment configuration and basic security best practices are followed.
Requirements
• Basic knowledge of Linux command-line operations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and workflows.
• Exposure to Docker and containerization.
• Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and system architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
