About the opportunity:
The professional will work on a strategic project to migrate approximately 320 repositories to GitHub Enterprise Cloud, in an environment structured for about 100 developers. The project will be conducted 100% remotely and includes planning stages, governance definition, pilot tests, complete migration of repositories, and post-migration support, including documentation and knowledge transfer.
You will be responsible for:
* Technically leading the migration of repositories to GitHub Enterprise Cloud, preserving history, branches, tags, issues, and pull requests
* Performing a technical inventory of the current environment, mapping dependencies, integrations, and existing pipelines
* Defining and executing the migration pilot strategy, validating processes and tools
* Planning and executing the wave migration of production repositories
* Structuring versioning standards, branching models, and workflow templates in GitHub Actions
* Automating CI/CD pipelines and establishing best practices and technical guardrails for the new environment
* Producing technical documentation and supporting knowledge transfer to the involved teams
What you need to have:
* Proven experience in corporate Git platform migration projects (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps)
* Proficiency in GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server) and GitHub Actions
* Hands-on experience with Git migration tools, such as GitHub Importer, gh-migrate, or custom scripts
* Solid knowledge of versioning and branching strategies
* Experience with automation using Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell
* Technical English for reading documentation and eventual interaction
It will be a plus if you have:
* GitHub Certifications (GitHub Actions, GitHub Administration, GitHub Advanced Security)
* Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices applied to GitHub
* Experience in projects with a large volume of repositories (300+)
* Knowledge of tools such as Jira, SonarQube, Azure DevOps, and artifact registries
* Previous experience in enterprise projects or working with SoftwareOne
